April Chapman brings a unique perspective to this hot button issue. There are many reasons that it is important to expose the dishonest and damaging behavior we find in our churches. In a case like this, the church has a chance to let women who are willing to come forward, confess their sin and seek some support, be heard and if not lauded then at least forgiven for true repentance. We can and should listen to them to formulate godly responses because they aren’t the first women to be caught in scandal in the church and they won’t be the last. How we handle this situation is a crucial witness to the watching world.
