Atheist Proves Marcus Rogers Wrong About Tongues!

Today’s video is by Gary 828. I’ve seen many videos about the false teachings surrounding speaking in tongues but this one has a fresh perspective. it’s intelligent and thoughtful. Gary interviewed a young woman who deconverted from the charismatic movement to atheism and recounts her journey into the world of the supernatural. Don’t let the title lead you to believe this is another video all about Marcus Rogers. While it does very much refute his idolatrous view of tongues, it is mostly good info for anyone who has never had a first-hand experience with this kind of phenomena. Well done, Gary 828. Defining our terms- this is very important when discussing such a nuanced subject matter. Terms like "heretic" "false teacher" and "apostate" have subjective nuances and their precise connotations are subject to interpretation. Therefore to avoid confusion we will use the following definitions throughout this website:

False teacher- a teacher of the Word of God who does not rightly divide the Word and fails to provide sound exegetical context for secondary (non-salvific) points of doctrine or, if they are in error regarding the gospel but receives correction.

Apostate- a heretic who ignores all warnings and continues to teach false doctrines and a false gospel. They knowingly deceive and lead others away from the true gospel. They may still profess a Christian faith but they follow and teach a false god of their own invention. Apostates generally start out as false teachers, and become more heretical until their conscience and values are corrupted by other sinful motives.

We know these terms can be legitimately defined with different nuances and emphasis, but for the sake of clarity, this is where we will stand.
